The Corporate Transparency Act took effect January 1, 2024 and along with it came all new reporting requirements for millions of entities. With the filing deadline of January 1, 2025 for existing entities fast approaching, there is much a CPA or Attorney needs to know in order to bring their clients into compliance with the Act’s requirements. This course will take you through the regulations and reporting requirements set forth in the Act, the important dates and deadlines laid out in the Act, help you to determine which entities are considered reporting entities and which qualify for an exception, help you determine who qualifies as a beneficial owner of an entity and is subject to the reporting requirements as well as take you through how to obtain a FinCEN Identification number and complete the required Beneficial Ownership Information filings.
