Professional Development Continuing Education
MAA professional development programs are approved by the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy and the Accreditation Council For Accountancy.
Numerous varied programs are offered constantly throughout the year for educational development and for satisfactory completion of mandatory certification requirements.
Professional Development Seminars
Seminars are held each year at various locations throughout the state. Topics and materials presented at the seminars are by acknowledged experts chosen on the basis of keeping the practitioner up to date on new and emerging developments which affect the profession.
Annual Combined Institute on Taxation
Each year, MAA co-sponsors with the Internal Revenue Service and Bentley University Graduate Tax Program to update and exchange expertise in tax law procedures.
Referral Service
The MAA Office maintains a file of members interested in obtaining clients in their geographic area. This service is available at no cost to members.
Membership Pocket Card
Every full MAA member receives an attractive Membership Certificate, which is suitable for framing, and provides visible testimony to professional standing.
Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics serves as a hallmark of the practicing accountant who renders the highest level of professional services, and who observes a strict standard of ethics.
